IEc frequently applies spatial analysis across a wide variety of settings, including
natural resource damage assessment, economic and regulatory analyses, litigation
support, land use planning, stakeholder outreach, and policy review. We
develop complex geospatial models that provide users with the ability to
quickly analyze data and visualize results, and builds geodatabases that serve
as repositories for this information. We specialize in producing clear and
concise metadata to characterize the data produced during an analysis. IEc
also creates high-quality illustrative maps (web-based or paper) to support
analyses and demonstrate results.
IEc staff are trained in both the practical application and theory of
spatial analysis. They possess a detailed understanding of the common
challenges and opportunities presented in using spatial information,
and have extensive experience using geographic information systems (GIS)
software and programming, including:
- ESRI ArcGIS Desktop and various extensions;
- IDRISI;
- ERDAS;
- Geoda;
- OpenLayers;
- PHP; and
- Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
IEc performs spatial analyses for many of the firm's clients,
including various offices within the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,
the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Department of Interior, state
agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
