IEc is well-known for its expertise in analyzing the increasingly critical issue of how economies and resources might be affected by global climate change.

Our Services
  • Modeling the effects of sea level rise and storm surge on U.S. coastal structures and development;
  • Assessing risks of drought presented by climate change in the U.S.;
  • Developing climate adaptation plans for the agriculture, water resources, and coastal sectors in the U.S. and developing country settings; and
  • Testifying before the U.S. Senate on the design of financial mechanisms to ensure the carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) industry is adequately capitalized to fund future liabilities.

IEc staff led the effort to develop a published volume that integrates the results of several projects funded by the Electric Power Research Institute on the economic impacts of climate change. Additionally, we were core contributors to the World Bank's Economics of Adaptation to Climate Change volumes.
