IEc staff apply their training in toxicology and public health disciplines to help clients such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation develop sound methodologies for human health risk-based decision making. These methodologies combine the application of fundamental risk assessment principles with objective analyses of the latest science to produce innovative guidance for complex issues such as PCB contamination, inhalation risks, and the appropriate method for establishing risk-based soil screening levels.
