IEc performs, and provides expert review of, human health risk assessments. IEc has completed numerous analyses characterizing how changes in pollution levels influence the risk and incidence of cancer and other illnesses in humans. These analyses involve identifying the hazards posed to human health by pollutants; assessing the extent of human exposure to those pollutants; evaluating and applying appropriate data on dose/response relationships for each pollutant; and characterizing cancer and non-cancer risks to humans.
